Resources and Services
The profession development and growth of a church worker is really a life long process. For this reason, Consultation to Clergy is active in providing resources for those in ministry who seek to grow and develop in their leadership capacities.
Collegial Groups for Persons in Ministry (Affinity Groups)
Church workers who share common settings or goals in their ministries will find the collegial support of their peers to be a critical asset to their effectiveness and satisfaction. New groups can be formed when four to eight persons in a common geographical area or a common ministry setting contact CTC for group formation. CTC covenants with the group participants to provide a trained facilitator, who is skilled in leading the group in purposes the group itself defines.
CTC arranges an initial meeting between the group and its facilitator and CTC handles all administrative procedures for the group as it continues.
Each group is completely private in its conversations, with this emphasis on confidentiality and safety as the basis for encouragement and support in personal growth and ministry effectiveness.
If you and several colleagues are interested in more information about these Collegial Groups, contact the Director of CTC at 206.623.8193.
Leadership Development Resources
Clergy and other professional church workers who are interested in growing as leaders may consider establishing a relationship with a Leadership Coach. Leadership Coaches help people grow in their leadership roles by:
•Providing a safe place to wrestle who one’s “growth edges” in areas of leadership
•Offering honest feedback and constructive observations
•Providing support and encouragement
